Billy The Artist is an internationally renowned artist who is based in the East Village of New York City. While he works with some of the largest global brands, traveling to Switzerland, Korea, and the Middle East, he also has spent much time over decades hanging out in his East Village neighborhood, listening to the locals and passersby at his favorite bar. This book is a small sampling of overheard conversations combined with BTA’s sketches of said conversations. Eavesdropping in the city, particularly while out and about, is a particularly New York thing to do, an art or a past time even, and in Things You Don’t Hear Twice Billy has captured humor, sadness, pluck, debauchery, and heartfelt moments.
