Sharona Muir has written four books, most recently Invisible Beasts: Tales of the Animals that Go Unseen Among Us, from Bellevue Literary Press. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Granta, The Paris Review, The Kenyon Review, Orion, and many other journals. Her awards include the National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in poetry; the Alfred Hodder fellowship; the Bernard F. Connors prize, and two Ohio Arts Council fellowships. She holds a Ph.D. in modern thought and literature from Stanford University, and lives with dogs, bees, and her husband in the Ohio countryside.
