C&R Press Winter Soup Bowl 2024 Chapbook Awardee, Shortlist, and Longlist
C&R Press publishes 2-6 chapbooks of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and other creative writing genres through our Winter Soup Bowl Chapbook, and Summer Tide Pool Chapbook series. Manuscript authors selected for publication receive ten copies of the book, a $100 honorarium, $500 social media and ad network promotional campaigns.

About the Author of Your Body Should Be A Part of The World
Ellen Samuels is the author of a poetry collection Hypermobilities (Operating System, 2021) and a chapbook, December Morning (Finishing Line Press, 2002), as well as many works in disability studies. Her poetry and creative nonfiction have appeared in Colorado Review, Copper Nickel, Nimrod, Brevity, Massachusetts Review, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and many other venues. Her awards include two Lambda Literary Awards, two Pushcart nominations, and the FineLines Prize from Mid-American Review. She is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is working on a book titled Sick Time: What Chronic Life Tells Us. She lives in Monona, WI with her partner and dog.
About Your Body Should Be A Part of The World
This poetry collection is a meditation on chronic illness and survival that moves between the intimate space of the sickroom and the messy persistence of nature, both worlds shot through with roots which connect and destroy, mourn and sing.
